Your AI-Generated Slides Look Great but the Text Won't Edit? Leave the Last Step to EditablePPT

Convert AI-generated slide images into an editable PPT so you can keep changing the text, while checking the background, stylized titles and layout.

AI-generated slide images turned into an editable PPT

The illustration is an AI-generated concept image, not a screenshot of a conversion result.

You made a slide you love with an image generation tool. The composition, illustration and colors are right — only two words in the title need to change.

Regenerating might fix the text but replace the picture you liked. Inserting the image into PowerPoint lets you present it, but the title still can't be edited.

A better workflow splits "making the visual" and "continuing to edit" into two stages. Generate the slide you're happy with first, then use EditablePPT to bring the image into an editable PowerPoint.

At the generation stage, make sure the slide is usable

Whether you use Nano Banana or another image generator, settle the slide-by-slide outline first. Decide what each slide is for, what its title is and which numbers must appear before you generate anything.

For one deck, keep the canvas ratio, colors, illustration style and layout rules consistent. After generating each slide, check that those rules held.

Download the full-resolution originals instead of relying on screenshots from a chat window. Text recognition and background processing later both depend on input quality.

A good-looking image doesn't mean the text is right

Review the copy in generated images on its own. Client names, product names, prices, dates and percentages can be wrong even when they're beautifully set.

If the source image has garbled text, prepare the correct copy first. Conversion recovers an editable structure; it can't know what the garbled text was supposed to say.

Checking text accuracy and visual quality separately keeps a nice illustration from distracting you during review.

Use conversion for the small edits

Upload the image to EditablePPT and choose a mode based on how complex the slide is. Once it's converted, find the separate text objects and edit the title, description or date.

Complex illustrations, text-dense slides and special titles are worth testing in High Quality mode. In the samples we've reviewed so far, background completeness, stylized-title appearance and text positioning have all improved, making local edits feel closer to continuing from the original.

Still, a stylized title kept as an image can't be rewritten letter by letter. If its wording has to change, create a new title asset.

Why you can't skip the background check

When you shorten a title or move a paragraph, the background underneath is exposed. If the old text is still in the base image, or there are visible seams where text was removed, the slide still needs touch-ups.

So don't accept the result at first glance. Temporarily move a text box to check that the background is continuous, then compare against the original to make sure the illustration and special effects meet your bar.

A complete background and clean foreground layers are what keep generated slides usable later on.

No need to regenerate the whole deck

Changing a date in a title usually doesn't require regenerating ten images. Separate text layers after conversion let you make local updates and make it easier to reuse the same design for your next event.

If you need to substantially change the story, add content or shift the visual direction, go back to the outline and design stage. Structural conversion doesn't replace re-planning.

After exporting, check in the tool you'll actually use

In PowerPoint, check line breaks, object positions and fonts. Confirm whether chart data is genuinely editable so you don't mistake a chart image for a native chart.

Keep both the original images and the converted file for comparison and delivery. That way, AI generation provides the visual starting point, EditablePPT provides room to keep editing, and you can focus on the final message.
