Privacy Policy
How EditablePPT handles account, payment, and AI presentation content.
Last updated: 2026-08-29
Introduction
EditablePPT ("EditablePPT," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you when you visit our website or use features that we make available.
This policy applies only to EditablePPT. Third-party websites and services have their own privacy practices.
Current Product Status
EditablePPT currently provides active account, AI presentation planning, slide-preview generation, storage, and payment features. When you submit a topic or participate in a planning conversation, that content is processed to create an outline and full-slide visual previews and to associate the resulting presentation with your account.
Element-level editing and document or PowerPoint upload are not part of the current release. The screenshot-to-PowerPoint utility reads the selected image and creates a downloadable single-slide .pptx locally in your browser; the screenshot is not uploaded to EditablePPT servers by that utility. Do not submit confidential, highly sensitive, or regulated information to server-processed features unless the service expressly states that the intended use is supported.
Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use, we may collect:
- Account and contact information: Your name, email address, authentication details, support requests, and feedback.
- Presentation content: Topics, prompts, planning conversations, outline content, style and slide-count choices, generated presentation content, and related metadata that you submit or create through the active service.
- Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, and diagnostic logs.
- Cookies and similar technologies: Data stored or accessed to maintain essential site functions, remember preferences, measure performance, and understand site usage. Browser settings can be used to manage cookies, although disabling essential cookies may affect the website.
- Transaction information: Billing status, purchase history, purchased credit amounts, and limited payment-related details. Payment card data is handled by the selected payment processor rather than stored directly by EditablePPT.
Pages describing planned tools are informational only unless their interface clearly states that the tool is active.
How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website.
- Provide requested features and customer support.
- Diagnose errors, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms.
- Communicate about service changes, security, and support matters.
- Measure site performance and understand how visitors use the website.
- Process payments, grant purchased credits, and maintain transaction records.
- Plan, generate, store, display, and retry presentation content when you request those active features.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect legal rights.
Where required by law, we rely on an appropriate legal basis, such as performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, or compliance with a legal obligation.
AI and Document Processing
Presentation content is sent to infrastructure, storage, and AI service providers acting on our behalf when needed to provide planning and slide-preview generation, maintain security, and troubleshoot failures. Document import is not active in the current release.
Uploaded material may contain personal information belonging to other people. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit it. Do not upload highly sensitive information unless the active feature expressly supports that use and provides appropriate safeguards.
We will not use private presentation content to train a general-purpose AI model unless we clearly disclose that practice and obtain any consent required by law.
How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information for money. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- With hosting, analytics, security, customer support, payment, storage, file conversion, and AI providers that help operate an active feature.
- When required to comply with law, legal process, or a valid government request.
- When reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect users, or defend our rights and property.
- In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
- With your direction or consent.
Service providers may process information only for the services they provide to us and under applicable contractual or legal obligations.
Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the service, resolving disputes, meeting legal obligations, and maintaining security. Retention periods can vary based on the type of information, the feature used, account settings, and legal requirements.
Presentation records and generated previews may be retained while needed to provide account history, complete generation requests, resolve billing or support issues, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. You may contact us to request deletion, subject to legal and security retention requirements.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
International Processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use measures intended to provide an appropriate level of protection for international transfers.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to the processing of, or receive a copy of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with a relevant data protection authority.
To make a request, contact us using the method provided on the website. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate security and recordkeeping purposes.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.
