EditablePPT ("EditablePPT," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you when you visit our website or use features that we make available.

This policy applies only to EditablePPT. Third-party websites and services have their own privacy practices.

Features Covered by This Policy

EditablePPT provides account, AI presentation planning and generation, online editing, PowerPoint downloads, image conversion, presentation-to-notes, storage, and payment features. When you submit a topic or participate in a planning conversation, that content is processed to create an outline and slides and to associate the resulting presentation with your account.

The local screenshot-to-PowerPoint option reads the selected image and creates a .pptx in your browser without uploading the screenshot. If you choose AI image conversion or start presentation-to-notes processing, the submitted images or documents are uploaded for processing by our service and relevant providers. Editor drafts and tool preferences may be stored in your browser. Do not submit confidential, highly sensitive, or regulated information to server-processed features unless the service expressly states that the intended use is supported.

Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, we may collect:

1. Account and contact information: Your name, email address, authentication details, support requests, and feedback.
2. Presentation content: Topics, prompts, planning conversations, outline content, style and slide-count choices, uploaded images and documents, extracted text and images, generated presentations and notes, edits, and related metadata that you submit or create through the service. Content processed only in your browser is not collected by us unless you use a feature that uploads it.
3. Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, and diagnostic logs.
4. Cookies and similar technologies: Data stored or accessed to maintain essential site functions, remember preferences, measure performance, and understand site usage. Browser settings can be used to manage cookies, although disabling essential cookies may affect the website.
5. Transaction information: Billing status, purchase history, purchased credit amounts, and limited payment-related details. Payment card data is handled by the selected payment processor rather than stored directly by EditablePPT.

Pages describing planned tools are informational only unless their interface clearly states that the tool is active.

We use first-party product analytics to record page visits, key actions and their outcomes, timestamps, and active time on a page to diagnose usability issues. Signed-in records are associated with your account; anonymous visits use a separate visitor identifier. These events do not include passwords, form contents, uploaded filenames, or URL query parameters. Behavior journeys are available only to authorized administrators.

How We Use Information

We may use information to:

• Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website.
• Provide requested features and customer support.
• Diagnose errors, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms.

AI and Document Processing

Presentation content, uploaded images or documents, and extracted content are sent to infrastructure, storage, file-processing, and AI service providers acting on our behalf when needed to provide the requested planning, generation, image conversion, or notes features, maintain security, and troubleshoot failures. Local previews do not by themselves start server processing; using an upload or AI processing action sends the relevant content for processing.

Uploaded material may contain personal information belonging to other people. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit it. Do not upload highly sensitive information unless the active feature expressly supports that use and provides appropriate safeguards.

Content Use and Product Improvement

We improve the product experience, reliability, and conversion workflow using existing activity records, conversion statuses, error information, processing times, and user feedback. We do not use your uploaded PDFs, images, or other documents, extracted content, conversion results, or edits for sale, advertising, public display, or any other independent commercial purpose. We do not use this content to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model. Processing content to provide the conversion, editing, and generation services you request is distinct from those independent commercial purposes.

How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information for money. We may share information in the following circumstances:

• With hosting, analytics, security, customer support, payment, storage, file conversion, and AI providers that help operate an active feature.
• When required to comply with law, legal process, or a valid government request.
• When reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect users, or defend our rights and property.
• In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
• With your direction or consent.

Service providers may process information only for the services they provide to us and under applicable contractual or legal obligations.

Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the service, resolving disputes, meeting legal obligations, and maintaining security. Retention periods can vary based on the type of information, the feature used, account settings, and legal requirements.

We retain conversion records and related content that you have not deleted to provide account history, complete conversion requests, and resolve support issues. You can delete this data yourself without purchasing credits or completing the conversion.

Deleting Conversion Data Yourself

Sign in, open Recent conversions, and click “Delete” beside the relevant record, then confirm. This removes the uploaded page images, conversion results, and related temporary files stored on our servers for that conversion. For a multi-page PDF or PPTX, deletion covers all uploaded pages and retry tasks in the same conversion batch, including unfinished pages. The PDF/PPTX conversion tool reads the original file locally in your browser; our servers store the pages actually submitted for processing and their associated conversion data.

If a background step is running, the record shows “Deleting files” and cleanup occurs after that step finishes. Failed cleanup is retried in the background, and you can also choose “Retry deletion.” A deletion request acknowledgment does not mean cleanup has finished; completion is confirmed only after successful cleanup.

Deleting server-side conversion data does not remove files you have downloaded to your device, editor drafts stored in your browser, or copies already opened in the editor. You must delete those local copies yourself. Billing, credit transactions, and security records that must be retained by law may remain, but do not include the deleted uploaded files or conversion content and will not be used to restore that content.

To delete other account data, or if you cannot complete deletion through your conversion history, contact us using the method provided on the website.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

International Processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use measures intended to provide an appropriate level of protection for international transfers.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to the processing of, or receive a copy of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with a relevant data protection authority.

You can delete conversion data yourself using the “Delete” button in your conversion history. For other privacy requests, contact us using the method provided on the website. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate security and recordkeeping purposes.

Children's Privacy

EditablePPT is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required to consent to online services in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product develops or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy and update the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
